Hollywood has been a destination for vacationers since the 1920’s. Located between the more famous cities of Ft. Lauderdale and Miami , downtown Hollywood has gone through a renaissance in the past few years. Older stores have closed and new stores and restaurants have moved in. Hollywood is now home to festivals, street markets and concerts – many of which are held at the family friendly Arts Park at Young’s Circle. Concerts can range from Country and Western to Rock. Downtown also has its fair share of nightlife at the clubs and bars that reside there and at any given time you can hear Latin, Jazz, R&B and Caribbean music.
The Hollywood Trolley offers public transportation services to much of Hollywood . Service is every thirty minutes from over a dozen stops and only costs one dollar per ride/per person….and children under five ride for free.
